Complete axle builds.

We can build you any axle from a standard, OE specification axle right up the latest, fully-floating, LSD-equipped, disc-braked, heavy-duty axle… and anything inbetween! There are far too many axle specifications to list here – but if it can be done, we can do it.
Overhauls.
Be it a standard unit from a road car, which has simply been round the clock too many times, or a rally-car axle which has been damaged/bent/broken or simply got tired… We can tackle it. Our usual policy is to strip and inspect your axle, free of charge, regardless of spec, and report back to you our findings before commencing any work or spending any money. This way you can be sure we won’t simply replace parts for the sake of replacing them. And you get a true idea of the amount of work involved (therefore cost) before we begin.
Axle narrowing.
When used in a vehicle such as the mk1 or 2 Escort which has not been fitted with wheel arch extensions, the Atlas axle requires shortening in order to fit! It’s simply too wide. We can narrow your axle casing, and halfshafts if required, to either a “standard” width (such as the common Baby width) or a more specific width, where perhaps you need to use a wider than normal tyre, we can literally make your axle as wide or as narrow as you like.
Axle re-tubing.
We have spent a lot of time and money developing a successful re-tubing process for the atlas axle. We can replace the old, thin tubes with various specifications of tube – ranging from very heavy duty “Safari” spec thick-wall CDS – to a thinner, lighter CDS which is ideal for race applications, where weight is of an issue.

Casings.
Following on from the re-tubing process, we can now offer essentially “new” Atlas casings. Starting out with crack-tested and bead-blasted central diff housing (the Pig’s Head) we can then fit tubes to your specification, either GP1 or GP4 fully floating – and can make them any width in the process!
Bracketry.
We stock the full range of commonly used axle bracketry – such as the GP4 works type 4/5 link brackets, shocker mounts, spring saddles etc – which can all be fitted using our purpose made jigs. Alternatively, for bespoke applications, we can fabricate one-off brackets to suit your chassis…
Axle assembly/setup.
Installing a CWP set or setting up an LSD is a specialised job requiring specialist tools, equipment, and know-how… Thankfully Fostek do this day in, day out. An incorrectly meshed CWP will simply destroy itself in no time, regardless of the quality of the gear itself. And a badly-setup LSD will not do your stage times any good, could even make the car handle dangerously. So of all the jobs, we advise you get an expert to install your CWP and differential correctly…
