265mm Solid Disc

(Fully Floating Hub)

 

Solid discs to be used in conjunction with Fully Floating Metric rear hubs (Atlas axle). These are almost direct replacements for the original AP item. Diameter 265mm, thickness 9mm. PCD is Ford spec (4 x 108mm) with the holes counter-bored to engage the GP4 rear stud. Centre bore is large enough to remove/replace hub seal without moving disc.

The only dimensional difference between this and the AP item is the offset (this is a few mm shallower) and the mounting “bell” in the center is slightly larger, but this is certainly a “cost effective alternative!”

Full Disc Brake Kit

(Alloy Single Pot Caliper)

 

“Road spec” disc brake kit for the Fully Floating atlas axle. Comprises lightweight, single-piston sliding handbrake callipers and 265mm solid discs, plus weld-on mounting brackets, pads, cradles, sliders and fixings. Due to the mounting position of these callipers, care must be taken to position the mounting brackets such that the callipers themselves do not foul the chassis rails.

A neat, lightweight, effective, and “MOT friendly” brake setup for your Fully Floating Atlas - without the expense of going to an AP setup.

Handbrake cables not included.

Single-piston sliding type, alloy-bodied rear callipers. Complete with built-in mechanical handbrake system, as required for MOT etc. A lightweight, cost-effective alternative to the Sierra/Granada calliper – and these are outright sale, entirely BRAND NEW items. Complete with sliders, mounting cradles and brake pads.

Handbrake Cable Kit

Handbrake cable assembly for use with the Powerlite 4-pot Handbrake callipers (listed separately)

This is a “universal” kit – the cables will need shortening to suit your application, and the adjuster mechanism/hanger installed in your vehicle… All quite simple. Kit comprises the parts shown in the photo – i.e. 1 pair of cables plus complete adjuster set.

Full Rear Disc Brake Kit

(Wilwood 4-Pot)

 

Complete rear brake kit for use with Fully Floating, metric rear hubs (Atlas axle). Kit utilises Fostek 265mm solid discs, and the new “Powerlight” 4-pot calliper from Wilwood, complete with mechanical handbrake mechanism built in. The pistons in these callipers are 1” (25.4mm) which works out to be the ideal size for the rear of an Escort.

The kit comprises;

  • Pair 265mm discs (ready to fit to your F/F hubs),
  • Pair 4-pot handbrake callipers,
  • Fully machined, weld-on type calliper brackets (radial mount) with bolts etc,
  • Polymatrix pads.,/li>
  • Universal handbrake cable kit, with adjusters/hangers.

Brake Pads

 

Wilwood polymatrix pads to suit Powerlite 4-pot handbrake calliper. These are a good all-round pad, working from cold and providing good high-temp stability – various other compounds available on request.

Superlite Caliper Mounts

 

Weld-on type mounting brackets to locate the (separately listed) Wilwood 4-pot handbrake Powerlite calliper onto the Atlas axle. Note – these are RADIAL MOUNT callipers, and only fit one way round. For use with 265mm discs. Profiled to fit “thick tube” 60.33mm OD Atlas axle tubes, but would fit other tubes with simple machining.

Threads are M10 x 1.25

Brackets are precision machined in steel, and require expert welding.

Complete with HT mounting bolts.

Superlite 4-Pot Rear Caliper

 

4-piston, “Powerlite” caliper from Wilwood. Specially designed for use in rear applications – with 1”/ 25mm pistons and a (Patent Pending) built-in mechanical handbrake system. Precision machined, very lightweight, billet alloy housing.
