Bare GP1 Casing

 

Bare, standard, Capri-type atlas axle casing. 52” wide. Stripped of all bracketry, shot blasted and etch primed. Complete with correct bearing caps, but otherwise bare.

Please contact us for price to fit bracketry to your specification; i.e. 4-link brackets, damper brackets, spring saddles etc.

Bearing Spacers

 

Spacer plates for use when converting to rear-disc brakes. These fill the gap between the end of the axle casing and the ½ shaft bearing retainer plates (it’s a 3mm gap – where the drum backplate used to be). Precision laser-cut in 3mm steel and zinc plated. Suitable for Atlas or English axles. Supplied with cap-head, plated retaining bolts and washers.

FF CASING LONG

 

New, Fully-Floating, group 4 Atlas axle casing. Built from re-conditioned, shot blasted and crack tested pig’s head. Tubes are heavy-duty, thick wall, high-grade CDS – double-pinned for extra strength. The basic casing comes with fitted FF stub axles, lock-rings, and mk2 spec (long link) diamond 4-link brackets fitted loose. (saves having to cut them in half later)

Casings available to any width (built to order)

HALFMOON

 

Pair of “half-moon” spreader plates for use with pressed steel Atlas axle rear cover. Simple, bolt-on mod, which spreads the load from the cover bolts and prevents the gasket from moving around/squeezing out and leaking oil… Laser cut in 5mm steel and zinc plated. Comes with longer backplate bolts.

Group 4 spec, weld-on panhard rod bracket (one bracket is 2-pieces). To suit ½” or 5/8 bore rosejoints (please state). Complete with inner, tapered spacers. Cut-outs for spring shackle u-bolts.

Spring Saddles

 

Pair of replacement spring saddles, folded 3mm steel. Please state whether mk1 (50mm) or mk2 (60mm).

STD COVER

 

Replacement rear differential cover for Atlas axle. “Heavy-duty” – made in thicker gauge steel than the original Capri item. Fitted with brazed-in breather pipe and clip for brake pipe. Sold with new gasket.

WATTS COVER

 

Cast alloy rear cover for Atlas axle using 6th link “watts linkage”. Complete with swivel/bush etc. As well as providing the pick-up for the watts linkage, this cover provides some useful additional stiffness to the diff housing, as well as better heat dissipation. Supplied with new gaskets.

Full alloy brace kit for Atlas axle. The shape of this brace makes it most suited to tarmac stages. Very strong (HE30) brace plate, complete with clamps, nuts/bolts, gaskets, and longer backplate cover bolts. All top quality.

Tophat Kit

 

Kit to mate the standard size ½” bore rosejoints to GP4 diamond-shape 4-link axle brackets. Top-hat spacers sleeve the rose-joint down to 3/8” so a 3/8 UNF bolt can be used. More precise location and better articulation than with a ½” bolt. Kit is enough to do 4 rosejoints. All parts available individually.

Tophat

 

Tophat spacer to sleeve down ½” bore rosejoint (i.e. RM8) to 3/8”. 2 required per rosejoint. When installed, the joint has overall width of 24mm across the spacers, ideally sized to fit the GP4 diamond 4-link brackets available separately.

Shock Bracket

 

3-piece, shock absorber to axle mounting bracket (weld-on) has reinforcement washer on one side, and captive ½” UNF nut on the other. Spaced to suit Bilstein shocker (or equivalent)

Group 4 works type diamond-shape 4-link axle brackets. 2-required per axle. Available also in kit form. 24mm internal spacing. Please state whether for standard Capri size tube, or thick-tube GP4 casing.
